Canopy Hotels by Hilton

One of Hilton’s boutique hotel brands, Canopy by Hilton, is poised to expand aggressively in the global hospitality market over the coming years.

Specifically, Canopy by Hilton is working to expand into the North American market, with information from TOPHOTELPROJECT’s database showing that the brand will add 18 projects in North America, resulting in a grand total of 3,083 new rooms across the continent. The bulk of these projects are slated to open their doors in 2018, with 8 new projects coming to fruition in that year. By comparison, the brand projects to add 6 new North American locations in 2017, 2 new North American projects in 2019, and 2 new projects in indeterminate years beyond 2020.

Prime Sites USA sells Canopy Hotels by Hilton. One touch that makes Canopy by Hilton an especially unique brand is the way the designs in each location are able to tap into the energy of the neighbourhoods, providing a flow that draws guests into wide open lobby spaces. Armed with the knowledge that guests are willing to pay more for an inclusive approach, basic wi-fi and artisanal breakfasts are included with every Canopy by Hilton stay.    See video of Canopy by Hilton in Iceland

While the expansion plans for the Canopy by Hilton brand are extensive in the northern quadrant of the western hemisphere, they are scant throughout the rest of the globe. The only other regions to host any new hotel projects from that particular Hilton brand are Europe and the Middle East. In Europe, travellers will only have access to one new Canopy by Hilton location, which is slated to add 150 new rooms to that market. Meanwhile, in the Middle East, there will be one new project that is slated to add 341 rooms to that region. South America, Africa, and Asia are not projected to welcome any new Canopy by Hilton hotels.

The Canopy by Hilton has worked diligently in all markets it has locations in to create locales that are steeped in the area’s great neighborhoods, utilizing design, food and beverage service, art, and simple knowledge of the setting. As a result, no two Canopy hotels are identical. This is in keeping with an industry-wide trend to offer a younger generation of travellers hotels and services that feel truly unique, a stark contrast from the brand consistency that has been preferred by previous generations.

It is not uncommon for these facilities to feature destination dining, trendy rooftop bars, social and meeting spaces, and, of course, swimming pools.  For Canopy by Hilton, the aggressive North American expansion tact is in keeping with the businesses current standing. They have far more locations on that content than any of the others, wielding a clear focus on the United States market above all the others across the globe.
